Hello, my name is Joonkyo Hong, who is a 26-year-old graduate student studying economics in South Korea. I am planning to visit University of Washington as a visiting Research Associate in Dept. of Economics. Currently, I am looking for a welcoming host family that I can stay with from 14 March 2016 to 10. June 2016.
I am a non-smoker, responsible, respectful and polite person. I am not so much of an outgoing person, but I love having conversations about topics ranging from history, economy, culture to international relations.
Since this is the first time I visit the , I am not familiar with the American culture neither fluent in speaking English. Of course, I have studied English throughout my school years and I read tons of academic articles for my study, however, I never had the chance to actually speak English with English speakers.
So, I may come across as shy and quiet at first. But, I am a person who is very interested in meeting new people and learning American culture. If I get to stay with your family, I would be more than happy to engage in cultural exchanges.
